Choose your favorite Contemporary Artist 

      Identify: style, strengths, message, medium

       Compare & Contrast: to an artist from another culture/country that is also a Contemporary Artist

      Studio work: on a third page in your RWB. Complete a drawing (ink, pencil, marker, or colored pencil) that accurately represents the influence these two Artists had on you.

DUE: May 25 end of class

Includes: 2 or more pages of research into Philosophy and Mythology of Masks

                    Thumbnails in the RWB= at least 5 well-developed renderings

                     Mask must flow into the Background as a unit

                       Poem describing another level of communication not perhaps apparent in the Mask unit. This must be a part of the background as a nature and attractive Visual piece, ie. not like a published paper stuck on to the background. Be creative in how you treat the poem.

                          One element of SKY, Earth, WATER, Wind, FIRE must be visually apparent.
