We are about to begin the China unit. All class members will be reading the same book. You will be journaling on the blog for this unit. Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a journal prompt will be posted. You must comment on each post on the blog and must respond to one other student’s comment each week. Please copy and paste your comments and responses on a document and print those for class literary circles.
Literary circles will be held on the following days:
A- December 1, 3, 9, 15
B- December 2, 8, 10, 12
You will be divided into groups and need to plan accordingly for your circles.
As you have more reading for this unit and writing on the blog, you will not be required to turn in IR journals for the month of December. Please read your out of class reading when you can. We will resume the IR journals in January. Your vocabulary journals are due only on December 5. They will be due again January 16. Please maintain the ten words per week routine.
Reading quizzes will be given on December 4/5 and 11/12. A book test that will require thoughtful written responses will be given on December 16/17.
